What to know

Critics consensus

Softer than the flagship line: licorice, warm wood, and baking spice lead, leather hums underneath, and honey with a faint red-pepper prickle reminds you the blend still has spine. — Cigar Aficionado (Jan 2026).

Sweeter side of the line: licorice, wood, and baking spice in the spotlight, leather underneath, honey with a subtle red-pepper prickle on the finish.

Creamy nuttiness with cinnamon early, floral and raisin sweetness building mid-smoke, more cream and nutmeg later with manageable pepper through the nose. Construction stays excellent across samples with a medium to medium-full arc.

A polite cigar in the best sense. We smoked these after a small dinner and nobody competed with the conversation. Cocoa, cedar, a hint of orange peel on the retrohale, and a finish that doesn't overstay.

First time trying Angel's Share Reserva d'Chateau — solid construction, no relights, and enough complexity to keep me interested past the band.

The Angel's Share Reserva d'Chateau lived up to the magazine scores for me: balanced through the middle, picked up a little sweetness in the last third.

Spent some time with this one and a small Calvados. It's well made and the wrapper is gorgeous, but it's a quiet cigar - you have to slow way down to catch the cocoa note. Worth the price if you treat it like a contemplative smoke, not an afterglow.
